The work Poems in Running Script Calligraphy by Wen Peng was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2010. It achieved a price of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 43,226.45), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Peng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ode to the Pavilion of the Inebriated Old Man in cursive script in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 5,015,000.00 (€ 557,849.29).
