Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Li Bai’S Poem In Running Script by Wen Peng was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 420,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 48,152.04). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Peng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ode to the Pavilion of the Inebriated Old Man in cursive script in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 5,015,000.00 (€ 557,849.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Li Bai’S Poem In Running Script von Wen Peng kam im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 420.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 437.500,00 (€ 48.152,04) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wen Peng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ode to the Pavilion of the Inebriated Old Man in cursive script im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.015.000,00 (€ 557.849,29).
