The work Li Bai’S Poem In Running Script by Wen Peng was worth HKD 937,500.00 (€ 102,715.73) to a buyer in July 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Wen Peng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ode to the Pavilion of the Inebriated Old Man in cursive script in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 5,015,000.00 (€ 557,849.29).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wen Peng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ode to the Pavilion of the Inebriated Old Man in cursive script im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.015.000,00 (€ 557.849,29).
