Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape / Calligraphy in Running Script by Wen Jia was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. It changed hands for a price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,698.61) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Jia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thatched Cottage In The Southern Village (Nancun Caotang Tu), After Wang Meng in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 5,122,500.00 (€ 3,841,682.92).
