Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Retreat amongst Trees and Streams by Wen Jia. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 163,800.00 (€ 19,446.58). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Jia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thatched Cottage In The Southern Village (Nancun Caotang Tu), After Wang Meng in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 5,122,500.00 (€ 3,841,682.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Retreat amongst Trees and Streams von Wen Jia zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 163.800,00 (€ 19.446,58) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wen Jia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Thatched Cottage In The Southern Village (Nancun Caotang Tu), After Wang Meng im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.122.500,00 (€ 3.841.682,92).
