Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Winter Landscape by Wen Jia was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 119,700.00 (€ 14,472.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Jia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thatched Cottage In The Southern Village (Nancun Caotang Tu), After Wang Meng in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 5,122,500.00 (€ 3,841,682.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Winter Landscape von Wen Jia wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 119.700,00 (€ 14.472,60) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wen Jia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Thatched Cottage In The Southern Village (Nancun Caotang Tu), After Wang Meng im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.122.500,00 (€ 3.841.682,92).
