Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wei Ligang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in May this year. In the Michael Goedhuis | Brush and Bronze auction, the work Thatched Cottage Beside the Water Lined with Phoenix-Tail Fern Moistened in the Mist, 2016 sold for GBP 43,140.00 (€ 50,193.68) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wei Ligang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Shield Array sold at auction in April 2016 with the realized price of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 70,415.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wei Ligang erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Michael Goedhuis | Brush and Bronze wurde die Arbeit Thatched Cottage Beside the Water Lined with Phoenix-Tail Fern Moistened in the Mist, 2016 für GBP 43.140,00 (€ 50.193,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wei Ligang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Shield Array im April 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 70.415,61).
