A top price for Wei Ligang
In April 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction The Origo Collection — Contemporary Ink Art, which included the work Shield Array by Wei Ligang. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 600,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 625,000.00 (€ 70,415.61). With this result, Shield Array is even the most expensive work of art by Wei Ligang that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Wei Ligang
Im April 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion The Origo Collection — Contemporary Ink Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shield Array von Wei Ligang zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 600.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 625.000,00 (€ 70.415,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Shield Array sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Wei Ligang, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
