Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Child's Face II by Wei Jia was sold in the Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Hong Kong in April 2015. The price achieved of HKD 271,400.00 (€ 31,365.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 240,000.00 – 320,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wei Jia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nowhere to Escape IV in April this year with an auction result of HKD 720,000.00 (€ 735,260.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Child's Face II von Wei Jia wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 271.400,00 (€ 31.365,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 240.000,00 – 320.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wei Jia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nowhere to Escape IV im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 720.000,00 (€ 735.260,87).
