Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Aesthetic Of Violence No. 2 by Wei Jia. The price achieved of HKD 212,500.00 (€ 21,877.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wei Jia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nowhere to Escape IV in April this year with an auction result of HKD 720,000.00 (€ 735,260.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Aesthetic Of Violence No. 2 von Wei Jia zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 212.500,00 (€ 21.877,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wei Jia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nowhere to Escape IV im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 720.000,00 (€ 735.260,87).
