This artwork by Wassily Kandinsky achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November this year. In the Graphic Century auction, the work Kleine Welten I sold for USD 22,680.00 (€ 20,792.08) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wassily Kandinsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bild Mit Weissen Linien (Painting With White Lines) in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 33,008,750.00 (€ 37,590,807.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wassily Kandinsky erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Graphic Century wurde die Arbeit Kleine Welten I für USD 22.680,00 (€ 20.792,08) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wassily Kandinsky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bild Mit Weissen Linien (Painting With White Lines) im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.008.750,00 (€ 37.590.807,66).
