Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Woman And Rabbit On Canvas by Wang Ziwei was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2011. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 10,862.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Ziwei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Great Wave: Greetings, Comrades in October 2007 with an auction result of HKD 943,500.00 (€ 84,124.62).

Die Arbeit Woman And Rabbit On Canvas von Wang Ziwei wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 10.862,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Ziwei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Great Wave: Greetings, Comrades im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 943.500,00 (€ 84.124,62).
