Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Mao and Simpson by Wang Ziwei. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 10,417.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Ziwei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Great Wave: Greetings, Comrades in October 2007 with an auction result of HKD 943,500.00 (€ 84,124.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mao and Simpson von Wang Ziwei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 10.417,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Ziwei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Great Wave: Greetings, Comrades im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 943.500,00 (€ 84.124,62).
