Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Leader (Lao Mao) by Wang Ziwei was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2008. It achieved a price of USD 109,000.00 (€ 68,965.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Other works by Wang Ziwei have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 943,500.00 (€ 84,124.62) in October 2007 for the work The Great Wave: Greetings, Comrades.
