This artwork by Wang Yu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2005. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Snow Clearing Over The Mountains sold for HKD 144,000.00 (€ 14,995.87) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Yu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape, After Huang Gongwang in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 104,500.00 (€ 78,371.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Yu erzielte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wurde die Arbeit Snow Clearing Over The Mountains für HKD 144.000,00 (€ 14.995,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Yu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape, After Huang Gongwang im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 104.500,00 (€ 78.371,08).
