Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wang Yu could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Bamboo Grove in the Rain changed hands for HKD 16,250.00 (€ 1,506.03) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 26,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape, After Huang Gongwang in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 104,500.00 (€ 78,371.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Yu konnte im Dezember 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wechselte die Arbeit Bamboo Grove in the Rain für HKD 16.250,00 (€ 1.506,03) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 26.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Yu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape, After Huang Gongwang im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 104.500,00 (€ 78.371,08).
