This artwork by Wang Yigang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in June 2018. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Abstract H5 sold for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,079.69) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Yigang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Abstract H4, which sold at auction in February 2019 for USD 100,000.00 (€ 87,881.18).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Yigang erzielte im Juni 2018 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Abstract H5 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.079,69) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Yigang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Abstract H4 beobachtet, die im Februar 2019 für USD 100.000,00 (€ 87.881,18) versteigert wurde.
