Sold at the upper estimate price
In April 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Asian Art, which included the work Former Residence Of Sisley by Wang Yidong. The auction ended at the price of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 57,785.34), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 420,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yidong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Teasing The Newlyweds in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 19,160,000.00 (€ 1,875,549.82).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Former Residence Of Sisley von Wang Yidong zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 57.785,34) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 420.000,00 – 500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Yidong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Teasing The Newlyweds im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 19.160.000,00 (€ 1.875.549,82).
