Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Drunken Zhong Kui by Wang Yachen was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. The price achieved of HKD 81,900.00 (€ 9,110.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yachen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,725,000.00 (€ 163,693.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Drunken Zhong Kui von Wang Yachen wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 81.900,00 (€ 9.110,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Yachen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.725.000,00 (€ 163.693,54).
