In February this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Dawn of Spring – Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Goldfishes by Wang Yachen. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 32,760.00 (€ 3,936.64), 64% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yachen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,725,000.00 (€ 163,693.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 64 % übertroffen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Dawn of Spring – Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Goldfishes von Wang Yachen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 32.760,00 (€ 3.936,64) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Yachen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.725.000,00 (€ 163.693,54).
