Fish; Daylilies
Two paintings, the first of fish, ink and color on silk, mounted and framed, signed Yachen, with two seals of the artist Wang Yachen and Yunying lou; the second of daylilies, mounted and framed, ink on paper, inscribed and signed by the artist, with three artist's seals Wang Yachen, Yunying lou and Wang Yachen shuhua ji.

Auction result misses estimated price range
In December last year a collector was able to acquire the work Fish; Daylilies by Wang Yachen for USD 637.50 (€ 595.91). This price was achieved in the auction Chinese Paintings Online 20th century and Beyond! at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yachen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,725,000.00 (€ 163,693.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Fish; Daylilies von Wang Yachen für USD 637,50 (€ 595,91) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Chinese Paintings Online 20th century and Beyond! bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Yachen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.725.000,00 (€ 163.693,54).
