This artwork by Wang Shimin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2013. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal auction, the work Summer Days In A Mountain Studio sold for USD 125,000.00 (€ 92,353.16) - well above the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Shimin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reading in the Autumn Mountain in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 10,180,000.00 (€ 1,060,485.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Shimin erzielte im September 2013 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal wurde die Arbeit Summer Days In A Mountain Studio für USD 125.000,00 (€ 92.353,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Shimin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reading in the Autumn Mountain im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 10.180.000,00 (€ 1.060.485,28).
