Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Secluded Pavilion In The Style Of Ni Zan by Wang Shimin was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Christies in New York in March 2014. The price achieved of USD 50,000.00 (€ 36,292.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Shimin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reading in the Autumn Mountain in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 10,180,000.00 (€ 1,060,485.28).
