The work Landscape After Huang Gongwang by Wang Shimin was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 2,500,000.00 (€ 263,789.96), 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Wang Shimin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reading in the Autumn Mountain in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 10,180,000.00 (€ 1,060,485.28).

Die Arbeit Landscape After Huang Gongwang von Wang Shimin wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 2.500.000,00 (€ 263.789,96) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Shimin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Reading in the Autumn Mountain im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 10.180.000,00 (€ 1.060.485,28).
