Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Landscape After Huang Gongwang by Wang Shimin. The price achieved of HKD 1,890,000.00 (€ 202,354.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,600,000.00 – 2,600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Shimin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reading in the Autumn Mountain in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 10,180,000.00 (€ 1,060,485.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape After Huang Gongwang von Wang Shimin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.890.000,00 (€ 202.354,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.600.000,00 – 2.600.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Shimin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Reading in the Autumn Mountain im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 10.180.000,00 (€ 1.060.485,28).
