The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,470.63) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Shimin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reading in the Autumn Mountain in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 10,180,000.00 (€ 1,060,485.28).

Die Arbeit Landscape After Dong Yuan von Wang Shimin kam im September 2013 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 18.470,63) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Shimin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reading in the Autumn Mountain im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 10.180.000,00 (€ 1.060.485,28).
