This artwork by Wang Shihong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Poem in Running Script sold for HKD 151,200.00 (€ 18,119.13) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Shihong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Poems In Running Script, which sold at auction in March 2014 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 36,292.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Shihong erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Poem in Running Script für HKD 151.200,00 (€ 18.119,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Shihong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Poems In Running Script beobachtet, die im März 2014 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 36.292,37) versteigert wurde.
