Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy by Wang Shihong was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. The price achieved of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,597.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Shihong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems In Running Script in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 36,292.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Wang Shihong wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.597,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Shihong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poems In Running Script im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 36.292,37).
