The price achieved of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,071.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 16,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Shihong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Poems In Running Script, which sold at auction in March 2014 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 36,292.37).
