Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled No. 15 by Wang Keping was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 100,800.00 (€ 11,164.42). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Keping achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Couple - 1999-2012 in July last year with an auction result of EUR 157,440.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled No. 15 von Wang Keping wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 100.800,00 (€ 11.164,42) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Keping erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Couple - 1999-2012 im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 157.440,00.
