Upper estimate price exceeded by 30 %.
In March 2019 Artcurial in Paris held the auction 20th Century Art 1950 to present, which included the work Masque - Circa 1990 by Wang Keping. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,600.00 30% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Keping achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Couple - 1999-2012 in July last year with an auction result of EUR 157,440.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im März 2019 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion 20th Century Art 1950 to present durch, in der auch die Arbeit Masque - Circa 1990 von Wang Keping zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.600,00 und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Keping erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Couple - 1999-2012 im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 157.440,00.
