Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wang Jiyuan could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Still Life changed hands for HKD 12,600.00 (€ 1,509.93) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Jiyuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self Portrait in December 2008 with an auction result of HKD 3,380,000.00 (€ 313,255.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Jiyuan konnte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wechselte die Arbeit Still Life für HKD 12.600,00 (€ 1.509,93) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Jiyuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Self Portrait im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.380.000,00 (€ 313.255,26).
