Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poppies, 1956 by Wang Jiyuan was sold in the Chinese Painting20th Century & Beyond Part II auction at Bonhams in Sydney in September this year. The price achieved of USD 1,792.00 (€ 1,693.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,200.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Jiyuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self Portrait in December 2008 with an auction result of HKD 3,380,000.00 (€ 313,255.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Poppies, 1956 von Wang Jiyuan wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Chinese Painting20th Century & Beyond Part II bei Bonhams in Sydney versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.792,00 (€ 1.693,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.200,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Jiyuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Self Portrait im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.380.000,00 (€ 313.255,26).
