Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Red Flower, 1972 by Wang Jiyuan was sold in the Chinese Painting20th Century & Beyond Part II auction at Bonhams in Sydney in September this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,664.00 (€ 1,572.18). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Jiyuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self Portrait in December 2008 with an auction result of HKD 3,380,000.00 (€ 313,255.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Red Flower, 1972 von Wang Jiyuan wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Chinese Painting20th Century & Beyond Part II bei Bonhams in Sydney versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.664,00 (€ 1.572,18) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Jiyuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Self Portrait im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.380.000,00 (€ 313.255,26).
