Upper estimate price exceeded by 68 %.
In November last year POLY held the auction Paintings preserved by significant Hong Kong collectors, which included the work Orchid by Wang Jiyuan. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 8,400.00 (€ 1,042.37), 68% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Jiyuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self Portrait in December 2008 with an auction result of HKD 3,380,000.00 (€ 313,255.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte POLY die Auktion Paintings preserved by significant Hong Kong collectors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orchid von Wang Jiyuan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 8.400,00 (€ 1.042,37) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Jiyuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Self Portrait im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.380.000,00 (€ 313.255,26).
