Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Observer by Wang Jinsong was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia: Including a Collection of Works by Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita auction at Christies in New York in September 2019. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,438.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Jinsong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Modern People (8 Panels) in October 2010 with an auction result of HKD 3,860,000.00 (€ 358,384.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Observer von Wang Jinsong wurde im September 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Including a Collection of Works by Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.438,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Jinsong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Modern People (8 Panels) im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.860.000,00 (€ 358.384,91).
