Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Standard Family by Wang Jinsong was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 8,000.00 – 16,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 8,750.00 (€ 1,001.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Jinsong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Modern People (8 Panels) in October 2010 with an auction result of HKD 3,860,000.00 (€ 358,384.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Standard Family von Wang Jinsong wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 8.000,00 – 16.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 8.750,00 (€ 1.001,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Jinsong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Modern People (8 Panels) im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.860.000,00 (€ 358.384,91).
