Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wang Jinsong could be acquired at POLY in July 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Parents changed hands for HKD 4,720.00 (€ 517.14) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Jinsong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Modern People (8 Panels) in October 2010 with an auction result of HKD 3,860,000.00 (€ 358,384.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Jinsong konnte im Juli 2020 bei POLY für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Parents für HKD 4.720,00 (€ 517,14) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Jinsong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Modern People (8 Panels) im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.860.000,00 (€ 358.384,91).
