A top price for Wang Jinsong - as previously expected
In October 2010 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Modern People (8 Panels) by Wang Jinsong. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 3,800,000.00 – 4,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 3,860,000.00 (€ 358,384.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Modern People (8 Panels) is the most expensive artwork by Wang Jinsong that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Oktober 2010 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Modern People (8 Panels) von Wang Jinsong zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 3.800.000,00 – 4.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 3.860.000,00 (€ 358.384,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Modern People (8 Panels) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Wang Jinsong, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
