This artwork by Wang Jieyin achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2016. In the Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Sunset sold for HKD 129,800.00 (€ 15,274.77) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Jieyin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Green Pavilion in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 1,071,000.00 (€ 118,621.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 85 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Jieyin erzielte im Oktober 2016 bei POLY in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Sunset für HKD 129.800,00 (€ 15.274,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Jieyin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Green Pavilion im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.071.000,00 (€ 118.621,96).
