This artwork by Wang Jianzhang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2003. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Thatched Cottage In Spring Drizzle sold for HKD 286,800.00 (€ 31,795.30) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Jianzhang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape; Calligraphy In Cursive Script, which sold at auction in September 2012 for USD 86,500.00 (€ 67,283.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Jianzhang erzielte im Oktober 2003 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wurde die Arbeit Thatched Cottage In Spring Drizzle für HKD 286.800,00 (€ 31.795,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Jianzhang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape; Calligraphy In Cursive Script beobachtet, die im September 2012 für USD 86.500,00 (€ 67.283,76) versteigert wurde.
