The work Recluse In The Lofty Mountain by Wang Jianzhang was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2013. The »bidding war« ended at USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,005.91), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Wang Jianzhang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape; Calligraphy In Cursive Script in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 67,283.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Recluse In The Lofty Mountain von Wang Jianzhang wurde im September 2013 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 12.005,91) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Jianzhang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape; Calligraphy In Cursive Script im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 67.283,76).
