Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Reading In The Evening by Wang Jian was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Christies in New York in September 2013. Here, the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 27,500.00 (€ 20,317.69). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Jian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape After Old Masters in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,450,000.00 (€ 1,349,967.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Reading In The Evening von Wang Jian wurde im September 2013 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 27.500,00 (€ 20.317,69) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Jian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape After Old Masters im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.450.000,00 (€ 1.349.967,41).
