Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Landscapes by Wang Jian. The price achieved of USD 612,500.00 (€ 572,536.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500,000.00 – 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Jian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape After Old Masters, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 1,450,000.00 (€ 1,349,967.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscapes von Wang Jian zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 612.500,00 (€ 572.536,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 500.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Jian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape After Old Masters beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 1.450.000,00 (€ 1.349.967,41) versteigert wurde.
