Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wang Jian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Landscape After Dong Qichang sold for HKD 6,080,000.00 (€ 710,306.10) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,800,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wang Jian; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Landscape After Old Masters sold at auction in March 2015 with the realized price of USD 1,450,000.00 (€ 1,349,967.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Jian erzielte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Landscape After Dong Qichang für HKD 6.080.000,00 (€ 710.306,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 2.800.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wang Jian; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Landscape After Old Masters im März 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 1.450.000,00 (€ 1.349.967,41).
