Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled 130821 by Wang Guangle was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 2,200,000.00 – 4,000,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 2,142,000.00 (€ 251,353.14). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Guangle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work TERRAZZO NO. 12, which sold at auction in November 2016 for HKD 4,860,000.00 (€ 592,223.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled 130821 von Wang Guangle im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 2.200.000,00 – 4.000.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 2.142.000,00 (€ 251.353,14) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Guangle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit TERRAZZO NO. 12 beobachtet, die im November 2016 für HKD 4.860.000,00 (€ 592.223,48) versteigert wurde.
