Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session, which included the work Coffin Paint 110703 by Wang Guangle. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 158,217.50), 15% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Guangle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work TERRAZZO NO. 12, which sold at auction in November 2016 for HKD 4,860,000.00 (€ 592,223.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Coffin Paint 110703 von Wang Guangle zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 158.217,50) und damit 15% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Guangle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit TERRAZZO NO. 12 beobachtet, die im November 2016 für HKD 4.860.000,00 (€ 592.223,48) versteigert wurde.
