Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Christies in Shanghai held the auction FIRST OPEN | Shanghai, which included the work Abstract Inkscape by Wang Chuan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CNY 60,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of CNY 72,000.00 (€ 9,694.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Wang Chuan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Beliefs in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 54,901.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Christies in Shanghai die Auktion FIRST OPEN | Shanghai durch, in der auch die Arbeit Abstract Inkscape von Wang Chuan zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CNY 60.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CNY 72.000,00 (€ 9.694,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Chuan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Beliefs im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 54.901,21).
