The work Poem In Running Script by Wang Chong was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2017. It achieved a price of USD 25,000.00 (€ 23,368.85), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Chong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Regular Script in April this year with an auction result of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 612,717.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Poem In Running Script von Wang Chong kam im März 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 23.368,85) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Chong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 612.717,39).
