Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Ao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in Cursive Script in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 6,040,000.00 (€ 571,231.67).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 31.675,64) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Ao erzielen.
